Who is behind this site
The short version: a Florida contractor who got tired of watching people overpay.
Metal-Buildings.org was founded by William, a Florida-based construction professional and digital marketing strategist who saw a gap in the metal building industry: buyers were making $50,000–$500,000+ building decisions based on incomplete information, vague pricing, and sales pitches disguised as guides. This site exists to fix that.
He works as a contractor and project manager in residential and commercial construction, running jobs from permitting and site prep through framing, mechanical rough-ins and final inspection. That shapes everything here. When we write about slab costs, anchor bolt spacing or insulation R-values, it comes from someone who has stood on the site and made the call — not from someone summarizing other websites.
Every cost figure, size recommendation and technical spec is researched from manufacturer pricing data, real project budgets and public construction cost databases, and reviewed annually against steel market conditions. Find something out of date and tell us — we'll correct it.
